Fakeone emerged during an incident where an account impersonating keone appeared on twitter and began following people from the Monad Discord. Community members began reading through his prior tweets and found some interesting discoveries among them.

History

On December 28th 2023 sailornini posted the following request on the Monad discord:

The account mentioned was impersonating Keone Hon, CEO of Monad Labs. Sailornini also noted the following:

This quickly resulted in a change in sentiment as people began reviewing the fake keone's tweets:
